Unusual French 24 Hour Four Glass Mantel Clock French four glass clock housed in a bow fronted brass case with beautifully figured marble top and base standing on decorative brass bun feet with bow fronted front glass. Gilded and chased bezel, gilded dial with silvered numerals which rotate to 24 hours, original ‘blued’ steel Moonpoise hands and twin jar mock mercury pendulum. French eight day timepiece movement with anchor escapement by Japy Freres and numbered 79910. C.1910 Japy Freres were widely regarded as the leading French makers of the day located in the town of Beacourt in Eastern France founded in 1806 and ceased trading in the late 1930’s
